How do I stop my kayak paddles from dripping?
Install Drip Rings on the Shaft of the Paddle
As we mentioned above, most of the water that comes into a kayak when paddling comes from water running down the shaft. To avoid or at least limit this amount of water you can always install a set of drip rings to the shaft of the paddle.
Why do I get wet when paddling kayak?
If your drip guards are positioned properly, water will hit them and drip down off your paddle and back into the water outside of your kayak. If your drip guards are too close to the center of your paddle shaft, they will cause water to drip down onto your kayak or, in the worst case, onto you in the cockpit.

How do you keep your butt dry in a kayak?
A spray skirt/deck on a sit in kayak will reduce the effect but even that has its limits. Only wearing a full dry suit or dry trousers and cag will fully mitigate this. The sacrifice you make in exchange is that if it’s too warm for full drys you’re going to be sitting in a puddle of your own sweat instead.
How do I keep my feet dry when kayaking?
Avoid anything without a back strap, like flip-flops, because they come off your feet too easily. For colder conditions and where rain or wave splash are likely, you can also get waterproof socks or waterproof paddling booties. Another option is to wear thick noncotton socks inside your booties for added warmth.
